A different world - Lake Manyara, Tanzania

Day 1
My 14 days in Africa started in Arusha, a city in the north of Tanzania. Arusha, the capital of the Arusha region, claims to have a population of 1,2 million people. It is known as the gateway to many famous landscapes and national parks such as the Serengeti and it is close to Mount Kilimanjaro...

In the map above you can see my stops in Tanzania.
Arusha (A)
Lake Manyara (B)
Ngorogoro Crater (C)
and
Serengeti (D)

And so the journey begins...

First destination: Lake Manyara National Park.

On the left side of the next picture you can see Lake Manyara itself.

And again here, in the background.

Lake Manyara has amazing landscapes far away from civilization, at least from what many people are used to. The only thing close to it is the occasional car (or 20 if there is a lion sitting on a tree, which this region is known for).

Chillin'

Next destination: Ngorogoro Crater.
